Homework Haven

The kitchen table? Forget about it! Between after-school snacks, spilled juice, and the general chaos of family life, homework at the table wasn’t cutting it anymore. Homework demands have evolved as the grade numbers climb up. Enter the era of focused studying and a dedicated homework haven! What was once C’s old room became a blank canvas for creativity - a space with dedicated desks for tackling fractions and a cozy space for curling up with a good book.

Sadly, I lost the progress pictures of this makeover with my phone incident, but here is the link to the Instagram post from last summer when I finished it. While not intentional, in each project I’ve brought in a new skill - this time it was creating a sleek and modern crown moulding. I’m so proud of how the whole room came together!
